Shutter Island

I would be willing to bet that most of you have seen the film adaptation of Shutter Island. Being that I'm not much of a movie/TV person, I haven't seen it, but after reading the book I may check it out.
I bought this book in 2010, but unfortunately, someone gave me spoilers, so it's taken me a long time to pick it up again. It was a really good story though. The portrayal of mental illness was both frightening and interesting.
Overal, Shutter Island had a seemingly tangible atmosphere about it. Something about the book gave me the impression of mist and haze... very atmospheric!
I have to wonder what my experience would have been like without spoilers, so if anyone has read this book without knowing the plot, please leave a message telling me what your experience was like.
I've been reading at LOT, so be sure and come back frequently for new book reviews, and follow me on Instagram for all the latest updates!
