Lethal

I've owned a copy of Lethal for several years, but it's taken me quite a while to get around to reading it. To be honest, I didn't read the entire dust jacket blurb before buying it. As soon as I read that Mrs. Gillette's four-year-old daughter finds an apparently dying man on their lawn, but he isn't as ill as he seems, taking them both hostage, I was hooked.
I was disappointed to find out that this book is one of those government conspiracy type stories. Admittedly, the surprise was my own fault. If I had read the entire synopsis...
Lethal was a little lengthy, but an easy book to get through. I really enjoyed the child character, Emily. Her innocence was very sweet. She was written in a way that made her silly and endearing.
I found the plot and the 'twists' in the story to be very predictable. This is a very lite read and I think someone who doesn't have a lot of time to devote to reading without distraction would really like it, but seasoned readers may not find it as satisfying.
